Free Online Practice Resources for ACT Tests and SAT Tests! I4C now offers free SAT and ACT vocabulary quizzes. Become a free member and log in as much as you'd like. Students can take practice tests on 5000 vocabulary words. Log in to monitor your students' scores - including seeing which vocabulary words they missed. With April comes Spring and that means Earth Day, Easter, and a lot of history. The Civil War began and ended in the months of April. The American Revolution began. Paul Revere took his famous ride. And the name "America" was first used. It's also Autism Awareness Month, Math Education Month, Poetry Month, and School Library Month. Visit our monthly newsletter to see all the details. WHAT'S HAPPENING THIS MONTH?


Here are just a few of the April events that you can integrate into your classroom lesson plans.



  1. AUTISM AWARENESS MONTH - Find Autism resources for Teachers, Autism resources for Parents, and general Autism resources that include college prep strategies and social skill tools.

  2. MATH EDUCATION MONTH - I4C has Elementary Math Resources, Secondary/Middle High Math, Special Topics, like Numbers and Operations, Geometry & Spacial Sense, and Data Analysis and Probability. Find Money, and Printable Math Worksheets.

  3. NATIONAL LIBRARY MONTH - Lessons for using the library: 1st grade Library resources on how to use the library, 2nd grade Library resources, 3rd grade Library resources, 4th grade Library resources, and 5th grade Library resources.

  4. CIVIL RIGHTS ACT WAS SIGNED (4-11) - 5th grade Social Studies standards on the Civil Rights Act. Explore examples of how the U.S. confronted Civil Rights issues.

  5. THE CIVIL WAR BEGAN AND ENDED IN THE MONTHS OF APRIL - Examine the events of the Civil War with these Civil War timelines.. Take a look at Mr. Nussbaum's Civil War site as well as Civil War for Kids. Learn about Civil War leaders in our 5th grade Social Studies sections. We also have links to information about the medicine and caretaking during the civil war.

  6. PAUL REVERE'S FAMOUS RIDE (4-18) - Why did Paul Revere get on that horse and take the famous ride? Learn all about Paul Revere, including a virtural tour of his ride and the famous Longfellow Poem, "Paul Revere's Ride" .

  7. AMERICAN REVOLUTION BEGAN(4-19) - Explore American Revolution timelines, women in the Revolution, biographies, and overviews. Play interactive games about the Revolution in our 8th grade Social Studies section.

  8. EARTH DAY (4-22) - Elementary Science Resources for everything from animals, plants, earth, magnets, and electricity.

  9. EASTER (4-24) - Easter craft projects, activities, and recipes.

  1. Earth Day and Printable Bookmarks - Celebrate Earth Day with Science Resources like plants, earth, general science, space, and more. Science Standards Resources by grade from K - 7th feature links to Science skills on Earth Science, Life Science, Physical Science, Embedded Technology and Engineering all organized by grade level.

  2. Math Education - Find online math quizzes for elementary math. We offer tools for solving equations, exploring fractals, patterns, and creating graphs. TECHNOLOGY TIPS


  1. Move Something to the Trash on a Mac - Click once on the item, then click Command and Delete. For more Mac tutorials and help check out our Mac resources page.

  2. Moving Paragraphs Around in Word - You can actually move and switch whole paragraphs around in your Word document very easily. Click anywhere inside the paragraph you want to move. Hold down SHIFT and ALT simultaneously, and then use your up and down arrows to move the paragraph wherever you need it. Go here for more Word tutorials.

  3. Everything Excel - I4C has a large section on Excel from begginers to advanced. Navigate through basic skills, find shortcuts, learn how to create charts, puzzles and graphs, and watch tutorial videos as well as participate in interactive help. If you need Excel help, these are the links to click!

We also have other basic instruction in Microsoft Office, including Word 2007, Excel 2007, Powerpoint 2007.
