WHAT'S HAPPENING THIS MONTH?


Here are some of the June events that you can celebrate or make note of this month:

  1. Black Music Month

    Celebrate music and influential African American musicians, from jazz musicians to singers and songwriters.



  2. Child Vision Awareness Month

        Brilliant is an online learning platform that focuses on STEM subjects. Brilliant offers a hands-on, engaging, and challenging learning experience. Unlike many teaching platforms, Brilliant’s classes are not in pre-recorded video form and are more interactive. A mobile app for on-the-go learning is also available.

      2. Ignite Student Curiosity With Free Brilliant Premium:
        The aim of the grant-funded Brilliant for Educators program is to provide free access to Brilliant for children worldwide. To achieve this, we primarily offer Educator accounts to K-12 school teachers globally, as well as some camps, clubs, and non-profits that are education-based and work directly with children under 18. Approved educators can create unlimited classes and invite as many students as they wish to join Brilliant. Any student invited by a teacher will receive free access to all Brilliant Premium courses and lessons.

      3. Brilliant Review: Is It Worth It?:
        Brilliant was founded in 2012 by Sue Khim and in the last 10 years it has grown to be home to 10 million users.       SAT and ACT Test Preparation

      Free Online Practice Resources for ACT Tests and SAT Tests. I4C now offers free SAT and ACT vocabulary and math quizzes. Join our SAT and ACT Test Preparation program and log in as much as you'd like. Students can take practice tests on 5000 vocabulary words or over 1000 math problems. Parents and Mentors can log in to monitor your scores - including seeing which vocabulary words that were missed. Interactive quizzes allow the test taker to retake and study as much as they want.
