  3. National Children's Book Week (5/3-5/9)

      TECHNOLOGY TIPS


      1. Math Review Project: Math Vlogger:
        Vloggers create video logs. This project inspires students to pretend to be a vlogger and create a math video, which is a fun way to demonstrate their knowledge of a math concept.

      2. Calculator Foldables:
        If you are a math teacher, you use the heck out of your graphing calculator. Students need all the tips and tricks they can get. The better they learn to use this great tool, the less stressful they will find the state exams. As you teach new ways to use a graphing calculator, provide an image of the calculator on the page, along with step-by-step instructions.

      3. Adding PhET Sims to Google Classroom:
        PhET from the University of Colorado Boulder provides digital simulations for math and science concepts. No registration is required, you can easily push out these simulations to your students via Google Classroom.

      Free Online Practice Resources for ACT Tests and SAT Tests. I4C now offers free SAT and ACT vocabulary and math quizzes. Join our SAT and ACT Test Preparation program and log in as much as you'd like. Students can take practice tests on 5000 vocabulary words or over 1000 math problems. Parents and Mentors can log in to monitor your scores - including seeing which vocabulary words that were missed. Interactive quizzes allow the test taker to retake and study as much as they want.
