Learning to use Kidspiration in your classroom

Step One: Create your activity in Kidspiration 2. Decide which libraries the students will need for the assignment and make a list or remember the names of the ones needed.

Step Two: Click on Teacher in the Menu Bar and select Save with Activity Wizard .

Step Three: When the Wizard dialog box appears, click Next .

Step Four: On this window you can select particular libraries to use for the activity. Click in the circle next to the words Selected Libraries .

Step Five: Click on the libary you want and then click on the word Select . Do this with each library you wish your students to use in the activity you created. Then click Next .

Step Six: Change the colors and lines of the displays in this window, you may also select the style and thickness you wish. When you are finished click Next

Step Seven: Change the font and font size in this window. Make your selections then click on Next .

Step Eight: The writing box options are on this page. Make your selections then click on Next .

Step Nine: Give your activty a title. In the Description Box , put the description of the activity in a way you wish the students to hear it read. When they run the mouse over this activity, the words you put in the description box is what Kidspiration will read to them. Save the activity in the Kidspiration Activities Folder so the students can easily find it. Click on the category you wish this activity to appear in and then click on Save Activity .

Now when the students open up Kidspiration 2, you can give directions to select a particular category and then choose the new activity you have created.
