  3. BBC - CBeebies Story Circle - Many genres of stories for children. Some audio, some not. British accent may confuse some students.
    1. Story Circle Printable Books From CBeebies - A cut out and keep Story Circle book. There are many books that you can print and color from CBeebies's Story Circle. The books are in .pdf format.
  4. Beantime Stories from Chateau Meddybemps - [this link opens on a new page] Where jellybeans ripen under tropical rainbows. Check their homepage for other neat things.
  5. Children's Storybooks Online - You will find illustrated storied for young children and older children. (some with audio)

  7. Fimbles - Comfy Corner - [this link opens on a new page] Reads stories to children. Very entertaining!

  13. Kizclub Stories - Stories are read to the child. Words are outlined for real-along. Excellent site for beginning readers. Loads of different stories.(not available 3-16-08)
  14. Lil' Fingers Storybook - Over a dozen stories and a coloring activities page also. No audio. For Pre-K and KK.
  15. Little Animals Activity Center - For 4-8 year olds. From BBC. Audio stories where there is interactive participation. This is a British site and the language pronunciation and meanings may seem strange at times.

  18. NickJr - [this link opens on a new page] stories that are read aloud and animated - A very good site for young children. Click on the stories link to get to the list of stories that are told. Don't forget to click around while the story is being read for cute animation of the characters!
  19. Online Children's Stories - There are a lot of stories available on the Internet to read or download. Some of them are from well-known books, others can be found only online.

  31. Story Place Preschool Library - Online Stories with audio, online activities to go along with the stories; take home activities and parents' activities.

  35. You Make the Story (Plaid-Libs) - children supply adjectives, adverbs, verbs, nouns and pronouns (singular and plural) and then a silly story is generated from the words they supplied.
