  1. In 1630 the fork was introduced into dining by Governor Winthrop.
  2. In 1788, Virginia becomes the 10th state to ratify the constitution.
  3. In 1910, the U.S. Congress authorized the use of postal savings stamps.
  4. In 1938, the federal minimum wage law guaranteed workers 40 cents per hour.
  5. In 1947, the very first tennis shoe was introduced.
  6. In 1951, the 1st color TV broadcast of Arthur Godfrey aired on CBS from New York City to 4 cities.
  7. In 1981, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled it was constitutional to have a male-only draft registration.
  8. In 2000, a Florida judge approved a class action lawsuit against AOL for forcing hourly subscribers to view their pop-up advertising.
  9. In 2006, Warren Buffet donated 30 Billion dollars to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
  10. In 2009, one of the most famous performers ever, Michael Jackson, passed away.
