Learning to use Inspiration in your classroom

Using RapidFire || Using a Template || Adding a Comment || Using Outline View || Modifying a Map

Step 1. Open the concept that you created in lesson 1. The suggested name for your document was graphic_organizer. If you cannot locate your copy download another.

Step 2. Click one time on the Comparison oval to select it. You know a oval is selected it you see four white squares outlined in red at each corner of the oval.

Step 3. Double-click the top left square. A Notes pop-up window opens, ready for you to type your comment. For my comment I wrote, "Using the built-in Venn Diagram template in Inspiration your students could point out similarities or differences."

Step 4. Close the Notes window and you will see that the top left square is now solid red. That indicates that a comment has been stored there.

Step 5. Type some appropriate comment to accompany each of the four ovals attached to the main point oval.

Step 6. From the File menu select Save As... and save your document with the new name graphic_organizer_comment. We will use this document in the next lesson.
