Valentine's Day
History of Valentine's Day
Although Valentine's Day is named for two martyrs named Valentine, it has been a "happy" tradition in English-speaking countries since the Middle Ages, not a religious holiday. People use this day, February 14, to express their feelings of love and friendship to one another in different ways. Some people just give general greetings. Children especially like this holiday, because there are many great art projects that they can create and give to their friends and family.
