Word List 4
- caught: trapped
- hurried: moved very fast
- near: very close to you
- ready: all set to do something
Tuesday Activities
- Make Flashcards - Write the word on one side of an index card and put the definition and a sentence on the opposite side.
- Word Game: Hold up the word side and have your child make up a sentence using that word and saying the definition.
- Write your vocabulary words in alphabetical order in your vocabulary notebook. Write your own definition beside each word.

Use the daily activities to help you remember words that you learn each week. It is much easier to remember what the words mean if you do something with them and use them frequently in talking with your parents, family and friends.

I caught the fish in my net
The fish I caught was bigger than Dad's.When my dad caught the fish, I hurried over to see it.
Dad told me to hurry up and get dressed so we could leave.I saw a fish near the boat and tried to catch it.
I sat near the edge of the boat.I was ready to catch a lot of fish today!
I dressed quickly and said, "I'm ready, Dad!"
