This week's theme is: Soccer
Word List 12
- team: A group of players working together, forming one of the sides in a sporting contest
- award: Something given for victory or being the best in a contest or competition.
- bounce: To hit a solid surface and spring back.
- career: A job that you chose to do for a long time for which you are trained.
Thursday Activities
- Create your own crossword puzzle. Click on the link and scroll down to the bottom of the page. Enter your words and your clues (definition), then click "Create Crossword Now." A new web page will appear. You can put a title on your puzzle if you wish, then click "Create Crossword." Print this out and complete the puzzle. Insert the completed work in your vocabulary notebook.
- Whirly Game - Have an adult read the directions to you. Sound out the words. Is it a real word or not?
- Word Scrambler - Click on the link and create your own word scrambler with your vocabulary words. Type in the number of words you wish to scramble and press the "next" button. You will see a sheet that has the answers for you. Press next again and print out the page. Complete it and put it in your notebook.

Use the daily activities to help you remember words that you learn each week. It is much easier to remember what the words mean if you do something with them and use them frequently in talking with your parents, family and friends.
