# Kindergarten Data Analysis & Probability Skills Prior Standards Implementation

### Data Analysis and Probability

Represent and compare data using concrete objects, pictures, and simple graphs.
K 5.1 a
1. I Am Special - Picture graphs are used in real world situations as students organize information, record data, and use mathematical language to read and interpret the graphs.
2. Use Column Graphs to Answer Questions - ( whole class activity to be used with projection ) data is displayed in column graphs and students must read the graph to answer questions
3. Use Graphs to Answer Questions - ( whole class activity to be used with projection ) This Saxon math site uses pictographs or tally marks in the form of check marks. Graphs are sometimes repeated with new questions. Be careful!
4. What Should I Wear? - (reading skills required) Students use models to determine possible outcomes. [somewhat advanced]
Describe events related to students' experiences as likely or unlikely.
K 5.2 a
Virtual Manipulatives
1. Data Analysis & Probability (Grades PreK-2)
2. Virtual Dice - four styles available; single, double, triple, or +/- dice
