  1. Astronomy Picture of the Day - Discover the cosmos! Each day a different image or photograph of our fascinating universe is featured, along with a brief explanation written by a professional astronomer. APOD's archive extends back to June 16, 1995.
  2. Earth Science Picture of the Day - The Earth Science Picture of the Day (EPOD) highlights the diverse processes and phenomena which shape our planet and our lives. EPOD will collect and archive photos, imagery, graphics, and artwork with short explanatory captions and links exemplifying features within the Earth system. Their archive extends back to September 8, 2000.
  3. Molecule of the Month - one of the longest running scientific websites, on the web since October 1996
  4. Physics Question of the Week from The University of Maryland Department of Physics - Each week a new question will be posted and the answer for the previous Question of the Week will be shown. The questions involve real experimental physics, so part of the answers will be photographs and even short videos of the experiments carried out in determining the answers.
  5. Question of the Day from PhysLink, physics and astronomy online education and reference (Actually, this is the answer of the day.)
  6. Radar Loop of the last 2 hours covering the contiguous United States. This Doppler radar site indicates clouds, rain and snow with different colors, and refreshes 4 times per hour. Intellicast now offers a 12 hour java loop . More importantly, this loop allows you to step forward, or backward, one image at a time.
  7. The Southeast Regional Climate Center Weather Quiz is composed of weather-related questions that have been randomly selected. The test is targeted at elementary school students, but may provide some challenge to people of all ages. The quiz is updated daily with a new list of questions.

  12. Weather Image of the Day - from the Operational Significant Event Imagery (OSEI) support team of the Satellite Services Division (SSD) of the National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS), a division of the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)
  13. Who Is That? - Students see a portrait of a famous scientist or mathematician and one to four clues, depending on the level of difficulty. This is one of the great games found at Funbrain.
  14. Memphis Weather (i4c is based in Memphis, but you can find links to your local weather at most of these sites)

    1. The National Weather Service gives current conditions and a 24 hour summary.
    2. USA Today reports Memphis weather and a 4 day forecast.
    3. Weather Underground gives the current forecast including sunrise/sunset, moonrise/moonset, moon phases, and a 6 day forecast with images you could download to create your own graphs in multimedia software.
    4. The Weather Channel gives current Memphis weather and a 10 day forecast . This site has a new look with several radar options.
    5. CNN Weather gives a 9 day forecast with the current weather.
