  1. 5 a Day - 5 a Day is a series of handouts designed to help you master the technology competencies in just five minutes a day. The handouts are posted here as Adobe pdf files. Simply double click on the handout you want. It should open right in your web browser.
  2. Computer How To and More - Besides the Basic computer skill information, there are How To do specific tasks in Windows. If you have a general question about computers, it's probable your answer is on this link! Also you will find links for tutorials on Office applications and Instructional Technology links.
  3. Computer Literacy 101 - From learning the Web to Word, this site is a great beginning place. Also in Spanish.
  4. Can You Guess The Computer? An interactive "pick the computer" game that lets you test your nerd quotient. There is an HTML version and a Shockwave version. The Shockwave version is much more cool. See if you qualify to be a nerd.
  5. Chain letters and virus warnings - "Don't open that Email, you will get a virus!" Don't worry, it's not possible. An Email message is a text file. You cannot get a virus by reading a text file. Viruses must be transmitted as an attachment to a message. Always scan attachments with your virus software. An attachment is an executable file and can transmit a virus, but Email isn't an executable file. These sort of warnings seem to always be circulating. To check out these virus hoaxes go to the U. S.
