Prior Standards Implementation


The standards listed below have been replaced by a newer set of standards.


Please go to Current 6th Grade Math Standards for current resources.

  • Number & Operations - Links to previous number and operations standards (e.g. identify place value of a digit; identify prime and composite numbers up to 50; apply order of operations when computing whole numbers).
  • Algebra - Links to previous algebra standards (e.g. generalize patterns in data; find missing factors represented as variables in simple equations; apply function rules).
  • Geometry - Links to previous geometry standards (e.g. identify parallel, perpendicular
    and intersecting lines; use spatial reasoning to identify a 3-d figure created from a 2-d figure).
  • Measurement - Links to previous measurement standards (e.g. use strategies to
    identify perimeter and area of rectangles; solve problems involving elapsed-time;
    use scales to read maps).
  • Data Analysis & Probability - Links to previous data analysis and probability standards
    (e.g. determine mean and mode of a data set; interpret bar and line graphs to answer
    questions and solve problems; determine if a sample is biased).
