Word List 4
- pedestrian: going on foot, walking
- sluggish: loss of energy, alertness, or vigor;
- dedicate: to give your all for a purpose
- exert: to apply oneself to a lot of effort and energy
- jubilation: rejoice and celebration
- challenge: a demanding task that calls for a lot of effort
- crave: to desire and want something very much.
Tuesday Activities
- Make Flashcards - Write the word on one side of an index card and put the definition and a sentence on the opposite side. You can find ideas for making flashcards on the Internet by clicking on the link: http://www.internet4classrooms.com/links_grades_kindergarten_12/books_to_make_teacher_tools.htm.
- Connectives - Click on the link and type in your vocabulary words and their definitions in the three columns. Your definitions will be typed in column 2 and continue in column 3. Print out the sheet and cut it into the individual blocks. Keep the pieces in a ziploc bag and try to put the connectors together during your travel time or free time at home.
- Create your own worksheet using your vocabulary words and your own definitions with this Worksheet Creater. Type your vocabulary words in the left column and the definitions in the right column. There is room on this worksheet for 10 words. Think of other words you know and type the words and definitions in the blank lines to complete the list. Click on "Generate Worksheet" at the bottom

Use the daily activities to help you remember words that you learn each week. It is much easier to remember what the words mean if you do something with them and use them frequently in talking with your parents, family and friends.
