Word List 1
- beverage: A liquid for drinking, usually not water
- companion: A person that goes along with or accompanies another person
- navigate: To chart the way to a particular place while in a vehicle
- bazaar: A group of outdoor shops where many different things are sold.
- currency: The type of money used in a country for purchasing items.
- apprehensive: Afraid of the future or what may be coming
- omniscient: knowing and understanding everything
Friday Activities
- Create your own vocabulary book for review. Use this site to make your own book. Type in your words and definitions. You can make up to 10 pages. Print it out and carry it around with you to practice in your spare time.
- Flashcardstash- Flashcard Stash allows you to create and customize your own digital flashcards. You can create flashcards with anything. Such as dates for History class, vocabulary for French class, or words for the SAT.
- Connectors - Click on the link and type in your vocabulary words and their definitions in the three columns. Your definitions will be typed in column 2 and continue in column 3. Print out the sheet and cut it into the individual blocks. Keep the pieces in a Ziploc bag and try to put the connectors together during your travel time or free time at home.

Use the daily activities to help you remember words that you learn each week. It is much easier to remember what the words mean if you do something with them and use them frequently in talking with your parents, family and friends.

My parents were apprehensive about vacationing in a foreign country.She got so many answers right, she must be omniscient.
The guide thought he was omniscient, but he wasn't.
