Thursday Activities

1. Literacy Dominoes - Create a game using your vocabulary words. Click on the link to begin.
2. Type your words in the box entering each word on a new line.
3. When you have finished, click on "print sheet" at the lower right side. Cut out your dominoes and play with a friend. When you place the words, tell the other player a sentence using that word.

Use the daily activities to help you remember words that you learn each week. It is much easier to remember what the words mean if you do something with them and use them frequently in talking with your parents, family and friends.

Sample sentences:

When Henry got to work, he focused on the task at hand.
Sometimes it is hard to focus in a room full of people.

I prepare my notes for the presentations in plenty of time.
It is smart to prepare for a job interview in advance.

It is important to complete your assignments.
I did not get to go to the game, because I had not completed my work.

When the boss was talking, I concentrated on listening.
Difficult chores can be done quicker if you concentrate on the task.

The class clown was trying to distract me.
