This week's theme is: Helping Others
Word List 15
- fold: To bend over or double up making one part lie on top of another part.
- search: To look around in order to find something.
- cheer: To shout out to help celebrate; to encourage or honor someone.
- idea: To come up with a plan or an action.
Tuesday Activities
- Make Flashcards - Write the word on one side of an index card and put the definition and a sentence on the opposite side.
- Go to the Spelling City website. Type in your list of vocabulary words. Click on the green button that says Play A Game.
- Select the game called "Which Word." Play the game and write down the fill-in-the-blank sentences in your notebook.

Use the daily activities to help you remember words that you learn each week. It is much easier to remember what the words mean if you do something with them and use them frequently in talking with your parents, family and friends.
Sample sentences:
It stopped raining so we folded up the umbrella.
My brother folded the sheets and I folded the towels in the laundry room.Mom and I searched for her keys.
Dad wanted to know what time the movie started, so I searched on the Internet and found the answer.I missed the basket but my mother cheered me up.
Even though she did not win, her family cheered for her.Mom liked the idea of me cleaning my room.
She wanted a fun party so I helped her come up with fun ideas.
