Tuesday Activities

1. Make Flashcards - Write the word on one side of an index card and put the definition and a sentence on the opposite side.
2. Go to the Spelling City website. Type in your list of vocabulary words. Click on the button that says Play A Game.
3. Select the game called "Which Word." Play the game and write down the fill-in-the-blank sentences in your notebook.

Use the daily activities to help you remember words that you learn each week. It is much easier to remember what the words mean if you do something with them and use them frequently in talking with your parents, family and friends.

Sample sentences:

I was careful to place the books back in the right spot on the shelf.
I am always careful handling books gently.

I quietly asked the librarian where the non-fiction section was.
You should be quiet in the library so you do not disturb the others.

There were just a few books on Babe Ruth
You can only check out a few books at a time.

I like to check out books by the same author.
The author came to the library to read her book to the children.
