  • Boxer Rebellion - an anti-Christian, anti-colonist uprising in China.
  • 1904-1905 - President Roosevelt mediated in the Russo-Japanese War and won a Nobel Prize for it.

Key People:

  • Secretary of State John Hay - played a critical role in setting the tone of US foreign policy with Asian and European powers on trade matters.
