Adenans - First Indian group to build mounds. Hopewellians - group of Indians who largely replaced the Adenans.

Key Places:

Cahokia - early city with a very large population (20,000) for its time.

Vocabulary:

Pueblo - ancient apartment-like structures made of mud and clay bricks. Affluent - well off. Opulence - Wealth or abundance.
